- Facilitate programs that increase elk awareness, outreach and education.
- Advocate for wildlife crossings and connectivity in the I-40 and US-19 roadway corridors in western North Carolina.
- Host workdays to enhance habitat for elk on properties in Haywood County working with the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy with support and guidance from Wildlife Resource Commission to help manage for elk on SAHC properties.
