We plan to accomplish our goals through projects and educational programs that promote the following:
CLIMATE CHANGE
Communities must recognize that wildlife is dispersing throughout the landscape due to the effects of climate change, and that "Explorer" wildlife must be granted room to roam.
MANAGEMENT PLAN
The counties are unprepared to manage the changing landscape, which requires us to work with municipal governments and other environmental groups to update existing guidelines and management plans.
CONNECTIVITY
Designing and promoting a wildlife corridor system is a key element to fostering genetic diversity among isolated wildlife populations.
COEXISTENCE & TOLLERANCE
Formation of our education initiatives where we share coexistence practices, such as wildlife-smart practices and rewilding initiatives, along with creating custom programs, events and field trips open to people of all ages and abilities within communities across the region.
WILDLIFE CROSSING STRUCTURES
Initiate the construction of wildlife crossing structures across our busy highways and streets in support of critical wildlife corridors to ensure animals’ safe passage.
SECURE HABITAT
Work with local stakeholders, both public and private, to secure and rewild critical wildlife habitat that is essential for endangered species survival and wildlife corridor creation; to reduce habitat fragmentation and create a buffer zone around protected areas before it's too late.
INDIGENOUS WISDOM
Honor the Cherokee and other Nations’ treaties and let indigenous wisdom lead the way in recovery.
